Medical Service Trip Volunteers
Volunteers in HHI’s primary health care clinics serve on-site in the Dolores de la Cruz Maternidad health center and through home visits to patients in our core partner communities. Volunteers join an international team of clinicians, pharmacists, medical interpreters, students, community health workers, and public health educators for a challenging, rewarding, and memorable week of service. Medical and allied health professionals with an interest in primary care training and cross-cultural professional education are encouraged to apply. Current Opportunities: Clinics are held in January, May, and September each year. Our MST volunteer slots are currently full for 2017. Please email [email protected] for more information and to be added to our waitlist.
Internships are available to graduate students and professionals in medicine, public health, international development, and related fields. We look for independent and self-motivated individuals ready to serve in a challenging, low-resource setting and engage in partnership with community members. Prior to the internship term, HHI will work with its interns to design a unique research, education, or development project that meets an identified organizational or community need.
Current Opportunities: There are no internship opportunities available at this time. Please check back later for future openings.
