Dina Savchenko brings over a decade of experience in developing innovative healthcare solutions for vulnerable communities. Her commitment to this mission began at Wellesley College, where she contributed to Makerhealth, an MIT Research Initiative dedicated to delivering sustainable, cutting-edge health solutions to underserved communities in Latin America, particularly Chile.
Dina further refined her expertise as a Program Manager for the Solar Surgery Project, where she led the development of an affordable laser technology. This experience set the stage for her role as Director of Product Development at Eidolon Optical, where she revitalized and expanded the company’s product portfolio. During her tenure she further championed Eidolon’s involvement with outreach initiatives driven by leading institutions such as Cleveland Eye Clinic. Her contribution has been key to increase Eidolon’s essential ophthalmic instruments more accessible for mission trips across Latin America and East Africa.
Currently, Dina is driving the refresh of Werfen’s affordable blood analyzer and the development of Werfen’s next-generation hemostasis product platform.
Alongside her professional achievements, she is pursuing a Master’s in Finance at Harvard, which complements her expertise. Dina is committed to supporting the development of ophthalmic clinics and continuing her work to empower vulnerable communities through her role at HHI.
