Patient Care Management Volunteers
Patient Care Management Volunteers provide one-on-one support and advocacy to adults and children who are receiving needed medical care through HHI in the Dominican Republic. Volunteers manage a total caseload of approximately 50 patients who are referred by HHI’s physicians to receive specialist consultations, surgeries, diagnostic testing and imaging, and other health care services. The position provides a rewarding opportunity for students and professionals in the fields of social work, health care, and education to work directly with patients in impoverished communities. Volunteers commit to a two-week term, or may combine their Patient Care Management experience with a medical service trip for a three-week volunteer opportunity.
Please email email@example.com for more information and to apply.
Available Dates: Two weeks following each of the Medical Service Trip dates for 2015 above.
