Craig W. Czarsty, M.D., DABFM, is the Incorporator of Health Horizons and served as its first President from 2009 to 2017. He retired from practice in December of 2023 after forty years at Oakville Family Medicine. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Georgetown University and did his residency in Family Medicine at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals, Roanoke, VA. He has been very involved in organized medicine and is a Past-President of the Connecticut State Medical Society and the Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians. He is a former Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Family Medicine, the organization which board certifies family physicians nationwide. He is currently the Immediate Past Chair of the ABFM Foundation. His first medical service trip to the Dominican Republic was in 2005. He and his wife, Margaret, live in Watertown, Connecticut, and have two daughters and three grandchildren.
