Anne recently left Stamford Hospital where she worked over 20 years serving as Associate Director of the Family Medicine Residency and then Director of Palliative Care. She now practices rural medicine at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend VT. Anne has been a dedicated volunteer to HHI since her first medical service trip in 2008 and brings to the Board of Directors her experiences as a medical practitioner, her background in public health, and her perspectives as a volunteer in the Dominican Republic. She is married to The Very Rev James Kowalski, Emeritus Dean of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC. She and her husband have 2 children, 1 grandson and another grandchild soon to be arriving.
